In traditional Japanese culture the obi is the belt of the female kimono, attire that determines its wearer's measure of elegance. The reading of a short novella served as the catalyst for the idea of celebrating within an absolutely Mediterranean context the concepts of elegance, love of nature, and exquisiteness of taste.

Obi Formentera was born in 2006 of Lorenzo and Elena's need for an ideal space to propose the results of their creative efforts. A luminous and warm space, a setting suitable for the quality and originality of its products. An “Obi” space which seeks ideals of elegance, simplicity and style.
