Elena Hurtado
Elena Hurtado, Amapola Formentera's creator, was born in Valladolid in 1965 and has resided in Formentera since 1995.
Stemming from her sensibility for colors and love of nature, in 2000 she began to produce artisanal bags with vintage fabrics. Fashion creation began two years later, born of the disappointment of not finding clothing able to satisfy her own necessities: comfort, simplicity and quality. Over the course of a measured period of learning she has developed a personal style which becomes more acutely defined as the years pass, collection after collection. Among her sources of inspiration we find cinema, the colors of Mediterranean flora, a taste for cooking.
Lorenzo Pepe
Lorenzo Pepe is born in Milan in 1969.
Since 1997 he has lived in Formentera, where since the year 2000 he has dedicated his energy to making experimental jewelry. He researches a style quite distant from fashion, based on the formal and graphic study of natural harmony. He draws inspiration mainly from marine organisms and from their structures, textures and symmetries. Always in search of an essential and native-born elegance, one that is timeless, granting his creations the very feeling of balance and serenity associated with the contemplation of nature.
