Observing biological atlases, many times I have found myself before graphical representations of microscopic algae and cyano bacteria that live in elongated colonies, like chains. They are series of cells, each with its internal nucleus and microscopic organs. The main body of the jewel is a micro-fusion in sterling silver, while the smaller internal elements in each cell are of fine granulated silver. The color black results from a silver rust patina. It isn't color or varnish, rather the silver itself.
