This series is inspired by the structure of Mediterranean corals and anemones. The bony skeleton is composed of calcium carbonate crystals in radial and lamellar forms. Its geometry fascinates me for its elegance. In this model I wanted to accentuate the laminar aspect, extending radial shapes to form an "organ" that suggests a filter or a heat sink, or a gill.
